Who is Mansour Barzani?
Mansour Barzani is the second son of Masoud Barzani and serves as the commander of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) Barzan and Gulan special forces.
He holds significant influence over military and security affairs, playing a key role in shaping the KDP’s security strategy. Mansour is particularly powerful in the Badinan region, which encompasses Duhok province, where he effectively controls the KDP’s presence and operations. His authority extends across military and intelligence sectors, reinforcing the party’s dominance in the area.
