Who is Babo Barzani?
Babo, also known as “Father,” is the youngest son of Masoud Barzani and is widely regarded as the future leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). He is said to be Masoud Barzani’s most beloved son and holds significant influence within the party.
He wields power in the Soran and Barzan regions, where his authority is unquestioned. Within KDP circles and government institutions, officials are known to defer to him, treating his words as final. Many see him as the heir to the Barzani family’s political dynasty, with a growing role in shaping the party’s future.
