Murderers in Power : Protestor Blasts Kurdish Parties Over Salary Crisis
Manchester – 26 June 2025
In front of the Iraqi diplomatic mission in Manchester, activist Mohamad Tahir Noori delivered a blunt message during today’s UK-wide protest in solidarity with teachers and public workers in the Kurdistan Region.
“You are not leaders you are thieves, mafia, and murderers,” Noori declared, addressing the PUK and KDP directly.
With over 55 days of unpaid salaries, teachers across Kurdistan are reaching a breaking point. Noori highlighted that several teachers were arrested in Sulaimani last night not for protesting, but simply for planning to protest today.
“The people are starving, and those in golden palaces respond to dissent by kidnapping citizens in broad daylight through their agents,” he said.
Noori emphasized that the gathering in Manchester was a unified stand with Kurdistan’s oppressed educators, demanding accountability, rights, and basic human dignity.
