Sardasht Osman Is Hope
Awer Mamand Hassan Speaks at Memorial
In a speech marking the 15th anniversary of Sardasht Osman’s assassination, Awer Mamand Hassan, a member of the Dakok Organization, described the slain journalist not as a victim, but as a lasting symbol of hope.
Speaking on behalf of Dakok, Hassan stated, “The purpose of this gathering is not merely to recall the past, but to inspire hope for the future a future free from fear, mafias, and those who silence truth.”
He called on the Kurdish community to learn from Sardasht’s courage and stand up to injustice. “We must learn from Sardasht how to be Dakok members how to resist corruption and build a freer society.”
Kurdfile shares this message in full solidarity with voices demanding justice and freedom of expression in Kurdistan.
