PUK Kidnaps Businessman, Son Issues Warning

Kurdfile: Kidnapped Businessman’s Son Issues Warning to PUK

The son of a kidnapped businessman has issued a stern warning to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), demanding the release of his father, who has been detained for 21 days without explanation. This incident highlights how political leaders in power use their authority to arrest and kidnap wealthy individuals or those who oppose their interests.

Shko Kurdo, son of Kurdish businessman Ibrahim Haji Agha, who was recently abducted by PUK security agencies, took to Facebook to express his frustration: “Hello relatives and friends, I wanted some explanations on my father’s detention, which has been nothing for 21 days. They don’t tell us anything true, and people may have many false ideas about this.”

“The truth is that my father has not done anything wrong until this minute. Until this minute when he was arrested, he was still a member of the PUK and his blood was green. And Mr. Qubad runs it and acts as they please.”

“If the PUK does not take a stand against my father and grandfather who gave their blood for this party, we and hundreds of members of our tribe will leave this party and let the PUK drink the blood of our martyrs. But it wasn’t. I ask Mr. Bafel and Mr. Qubad to come on the line, because there is no one left to come on the line except you, thank you.”
