Health Minister Declares KDP’s Dr. Bakhan ‘Totally Fine,’ Despite Medical Report Saying Otherwise
The saga of Dr. Bakhan Azad, a KDP candidate and alleged owner of a clean bill of mental health, has taken a hilarious turn. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Health Minister, Dr. Saman Barzanji, has swooped in to declare that Dr. Bakhan is perfectly normal, mentally stable, and ready to serve Halabja. This, despite the fact that a *real* letter from the Halabja Health Committee – oh, and let’s not forget another letter from the Medical Appeals Committee dated March 4, 2024 – said something quite different. Apparently, those folks thought Dr. Bakhan should be given a year’s leave for, you know, some rest and treatment for mental health reasons.
But wait! Enter the *superhero* Health Minister, who swiftly penned a letter to the Halabja Health Directorate on June 24, basically saying, “Nah, she’s good,” completely dismissing those previous diagnoses. After all, what’s a couple of official medical reports when you’ve got a KDP candidate to back?
The timing couldn’t be more perfect, considering Dr. Bakhan is running for office. Nothing says “vote for me” like a solid, hand-delivered “all-clear” from a government official, right? Who needs medical records when you have political endorsements?
