Pension Fraud: Women Listed as Retired Brigadiers and Ministers Without Meeting Age Requirements

According to Osman, there are women listed as retired military brigadiers or ministers who have not yet reached the required retirement age. This revelation highlights the rampant corruption and nepotism within the KRG’s pension system.

“The military case and unfair recruitment is one of the most dangerous issues within the Kurdish ruling authorities in South Kurdistan,” Osman stated. He pointed out that there are currently about half a million armed individuals in the region. Many of these individuals are on the payroll without performing any actual duties, contributing to a massive financial burden on the government’s resources.
