Who is Areen Masrour Barzani?
Areen Masrour Barzani is the son of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.
He studied Security and Strategic Studies at the American University of Kurdistan before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK, a prestigious training institution for British and international military officers. Reports suggest that his education at Sandhurst cost around $1 million.
Areen is the owner of the Kurdistan Foundation, as well as several online platforms, including Jobs.krd, Hub.krd, Empower.krd, and Climate.krd. He also has business ventures in the UAE and owns AVA Media, which is reported to spend $2 million per month. Due to his wealth and influence, he is often referred to as the “Prince of Kurdistan.”
Like his cousin Idris, Areen leads a lavish lifestyle, frequently showcasing horseback riding and international trips with his father on social media. He has amassed a large online following, with six million Instagram followers.
