Azbani: is a Kurdish word meaning, his highness

These days, I came across a report on NRT talking about unemployment the statistics were so shocking they make a person tremble!

How is it reasonable that in a small region like the Kurdistan Region, which possesses vast wealth both on the surface and underground, 37% of the youth are unemployed. Unemployed, bro unemployed!

Where in the world have you ever seen a country where the youth the engine of the market and national progress are left idle? All countries in the world place their eyes on their youth, but ours are unemployed.

Look at these numbers: the Kurdistan Region is a youthful society, and 64% of its population are of working age. According to international standards, the unemployment rate should be between 4% and 6%. So why has the unemployment rate in the Kurdistan Region exceeded 24%?

Mr. Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister or caretaker PM, since the moment he came to power until now, has done nothing but read letters. Not even in his imagination has it occurred to him that one day the youth of this land might take up arms or stand up for their rights.

He doesn’t care whether the youth have money or not, have jobs or not, or what their future will look like. All that matters is that Mr. Prime Minister and his family are safe and well.

Now that this government has turned into a time waster not a caretaker, and not even a functioning administration since Baghdad has completely sidelined them in plain Kurdish, Mr. Azbani is currently walking around looking for a job for himself. So how could we complain, when the youth of this nation are unemployed?
